Real equity outcomes depend on factors this tool does not and cannot model, including but not limited to cap table terms, participation rights, anti-dilution provisions, secondary market dynamics, company-specific vesting acceleration, employer tax withholding, state and local taxes, and the actual terms of any individual offer letter. Always consult a qualified tax professional, attorney, or financial adviser before making decisions based on equity compensation.

The accuracy of any output depends entirely on the accuracy of the inputs. Grantwise does not verify any user-provided data. If the option count, fully diluted share count, strike price, or preferred stack inputs are incorrect, the outputs will be incorrect.

Tax calculations use simplified effective rate assumptions per country. They do not account for progressive brackets, alternative minimum tax phase-outs, holding period differences, state and local taxes, employer reporting obligations, or the specific treatment of ISO versus NSO grants in all jurisdictions. The AMT figure shown is a rough sensitivity estimate, not a precise calculation.

Grantwise operates its calculator client-side. No input data, calculation results, or personal information is sent to any Grantwise application server. URL state encoding is performed locally in the browser. Vercel Analytics may collect aggregated, cookieless page-view and usage metrics, but it is not used to collect calculator inputs or identify individual users.
